The Death to Diabetes® Wellness Program is a science-based program that goes beyond
just controlling your blood sugar to address the root causes that fuel
your diabetes and cause the damage to your cells, blood vessels,
and organs. As a result, your body is able to repair
the damage, causing your blood glucose to return to the normal range and
giving you the opportunity to reverse and defeat your diabetes.
This program uses a multi-faceted
approach to attack your diabetes on multiple fronts, with super foods,
detox, superior supplements, the right type of exercise, emotional
support from our staff, spirituality, testing, the power of real knowledge,
etc. This program also leverages your blood glucose testing to verify
to you that your health is actually improving. With this verification,
you will be more motivated to continue with the program because of the
results you're experiencing.

STEP 1: Start your day with a Super Breakfast (which is based upon the "Death to Diabetes" Super Meal Model®).
So, what is the Super Meal Model?
The Super Meal Model® is an integrated vegetable and plant based
diet that includes attributes of the Mediterranean
Diet, Zone Diet, South Beach Diet, and Asian
Diet -- with nutritional modifications to specifically address
the root
causes of Type 2 diabetes.
So, why a vegetable plant-based breakfast?
This type of breakfast
provides a more sustained level of energy and key nutrients that
diabetics (and non-diabetics) are missing when they consume the more
traditional grain-based breakfast. Some of those key nutrients
(within the 5 key super foods) include Omega-3 EFAs, carotenoids,
chlorophyll, magnesium, potassium, chromium, Vitamin E, Vitamin C,
fiber, and water. For more information about these key nutrients and the
health benefits of vegetables, read this web page.
In addition, by avoiding the grain-based
breakfast, diabetics and non-diabetics will not experience the
mid-morning “crash” or craving for processed food/beverages. Over time,
this type of "super" meal will support blood glucose stabilization, cell
repair and the regulation of the body's production and utilization of
insulin.
Eating a superior
breakfast sets the tone for the rest of the day to enable your body to
fight your diabetes. Some diabetics skip breakfast, because they're
afraid of the getting high blood sugar readings. But, don't skip breakfast! Skipping breakfast fuels your diabetes just as much as eating the wrong kind of breakfast.
Super Breakfast
- 1½ cups steamed broccoli
- Omega-3 organic egg or 3 oz. canned wild salmon
- 1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 24 oz. filtered water
- 1-2 cups raw vegetable juice (optional)
- Optional: Add 1 scoop of super greens powder (e.g. wheat/barley grass) to a glass of water, raw juice or low-sodium V-8 juice.

Importance of Super Foods
These super foods perform the same function as the drugs, but without the side effects!
The good news here is that if you embrace these super foods, you will be able to change your body's chemistry such that a few months down the road, we will show you (in our cookbook) how to enjoy your bread, pasta, ice cream, or potato chips -- without having the same adverse reaction to your blood sugar!
Of course, that doesn't mean you can go hog-wild, but, at least, you will be able to once again enjoy life and not be worried about eating the 'wrong' food.
